Der Tiantan-Park, auf deutsch "Himmelstempel", ist mit rund 270 ha die größte Tempelanlage Chinas und liegt am südlichen Rand des Stadtzentrums. Er umfasst mehrere wunderschöne Tempelgebäude, die in früheren Zeiten der Kaiser genutzt hat, um den Himmel für eine gute Ernte zu bitten.
The Temple of Heaven is the largest temple complex in China and belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was used by emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties to pray for good harvest. The most well-known building is the Prayer for Good Harvest Hall. Beside this, there are more nice buildings like the Temple of Heaven and a large open altar called Earthly Mount.
